This is NOT my house!
This afternoon after a long day of yoga, I jumped into the shower and heard and felt a mighty crash! I jumped out of the shower, threw on some sweat and walked outdoors to see that the corner house had been hit by a toll truck! First the toll truck hit a park car while zooming down the street, lost control and flew into the house!
DAMN! Can you imagine, sitting in your livingroom and have a toll truck crash into your home?
I looked around to see if I could help. No one in the home was hurt, thank goodness! But those poor people couldn't stay in the house. The driver wasn't hurt either. A few minor head injuries. He was on his cell phone after the crash!
This just brought home the truth, you never know when stuff will happen!

Mich- you are indeed a psychic friend! Your card was right on the money! I'm going through this creative period and beginning new projects. Sketching like a woman possessed , working on ideas for some paintings. I paint on a very large scale. So I've been attending a lot of art museums to get inspiration. I returned to the Huntington Library and went to the galleries and walked through the beautiful gardens. Taking in the gorgeous colors and shades of nature. I took Cat's advice and enjoyed luncheon in the Tea Room where I sipped tea and champagne and enjoyed an spread of goodies! Brought along a copy of Jack Kerouac's novel "The Subterraneans". Jack Kerouac is such a wondeful writer , a man that lived on the edge and wasn't afraid to bare his soul on paper and that is a true artist. It's not enough to write witty clever words or even to express things beautifully, an artist must show their inner demons and ghosts. And I'm not writing about the enchanting demons and ghosts Neil Gaiman writes about (although his books are delightful and full of charm) I'm writing about those darks corners of our souls that we are frighten to look into and exam. That is when art is the most powerful and true.
It was a lovely day. Plus, when I got home I found a package from UPS of six bottles of wine from my wine club! So tonight, I'll be sipping a glass or two, four hell why not a whole bottle of Castoro Cellar's finest vintage and drawing like mad!
Mich- do me a favor and put out a relationship card for me. Is love out there for me? Just wondering.

Yesterday I was feeling a bit low and depressed, still being haunted by the nightmare event of my past attack, so I decided to skip yoga class and visit the Huntington Library grounds, the grounds are packed with all kinds of gardens, a jungle, desert garden, Australian forest, a lush English garden but my favorite is the Japanese garden. Since I went on a Wednesday there were no crowds. Almost enjoyed the peace and serenity of this beautiful garden alone. It was as if I was able to pay a visit into heaven. Scroll down for a virtual tour of the Japanese garden.

I often wonder how we got by without the cell phone but I often wonder if we are getting closer or more distant with the human race. Today while having lunch I sat across a mother and daughter and the mother (a woman in her late fifties) ignored her thirty something daughter for not once did she acknowledge her own flesh and blood because the BITCH WAS FAR TOO BUSY TALKING ON HER CELL PHONE! I felt like grabbing the cell phone from her hands and say "Pay attention to your luncheon companion!" I hate it when I see couples at a table talking to over people on their cell phones. If a date did that to me, the date would be OVER!

I believe women get a bad rep for being the only creatures that have a gold digging nature ; men can suffer from the gold digging gene as well! Yesterday afternoon, while sipping my Lemon Drop Martini the young women next to me stated that she was so happy that I (a woman sat next her)she stated that the last time she was in the sports bar for lunch these guys started giving her the third degree. She said they asked her where she worked, what she did, what kind of car she drove, where she lived, if she lived in a house, condo or an apartment, "They sounded as if they weren't even interested in me!" she said but these guys just seem to be sizing up her income. I smiled and said I know these guys and she was correct they were no doubt sizing up her financial situation. These guys had been married before and burned and once bitten twice shy. A pretty face isn't enough anymore they want the whole package. Well, boyz it works both ways. These jokers often tease me saying I looking for a rich man, which is horse hockey! I have my own money! I don't need another's man cash! Besides you always pay far to much a cost if you go for a man for just his money. No, it's not money I'm looking for. But how shallow can a guy be to only look at a woman financial situation before he would think of dating her. We all have more than just MONEY to offer a relationship!
