If you pray, you are not an atheist. I've been in a collapsing building. I know whereof I speak - I thought that death was about to happen and as time "expanded" (a neurological explanation exists) I was busy trying to figure out how to make it painless for my then 2 year old. I wasn't yakking to an Invisible Cloud Buddy. While it may bring comfort to some to do so, it is the distraction aspect that is at play. Of course, had I died I would not be here to tell you that the thought of momentary death did not change me from an atheist to a believer.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02095728211445420115noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5574293206710725103.post-60142732339710049252009-06-07T16:10:16.041-07:002009-06-07T16:10:16.041-07:00So true Makarios, been on a many rocky air flight ...So true Makarios, been on a many rocky air flight in many a lightening storm and I prayed like a peasant!Yoga Galhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11811671544368940573noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5574293206710725103.post-46863725632212220062009-06-07T16:08:09.692-07:002009-06-07T16:08:09.692-07:00I don't know where you're from so this mig...I don't know where you're from so this might not compute - exactly - anyhow, there was a sitcom called Seinfeld, one of the characters, Elaine came in from a date with her hair all in disaray and says to another character, "We were making out like our plane was going down."

They showed that episode shortly after 9/11. I thought of how idiotic that was then and again now when Air France went down.

When one's plane is going down the last thing you're likely to do is start "making out."Thesauroshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13305052511095551483noreply@blogger.com
