I'm singing in the rain.....

It's been raining on and off in the BU. Yesterday I had to helped a neighbor with sand bags, the price of having beach front property, my friend's house is beach front but is elevated and protected from the waves by a long stone staircase. My shoulder is sore but it was kind of fun. Afterwards we drank hot spiced lemon tea-spiked with Jim Beam and ate pigs in blankets my favorite junk food. Because of the mositure from the ocean it;s easy to grow a beautiful garden. Just took this photo ten minutes ago, last month I went to Home Depot and bought some flowers to plant (as a thank- you gift for my friend for allowing to house-sit for him) and they're doing so well! How the sun is out and so are the surfers. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH--wipe out!

Good on you for helping your neighbour out with the sandbags. Such a shame that beachfront property is so expensive considering it is only going to erode. Lol!
The flowers look lovely.

Staying in Malibu? Oh, nice work if you can get it! (god, I haven't had pigs in blanket since I was 10. Is the dough still made with the Pillbury cylinder you whap across a kitchen counter corner?)

That's what we all need where I am presently, flowers. I don't recognize these of yours -- Portulacas?
Is the beach erosion a sign of higher average high-tides?? Seems some effects of the warming and melting ice should be evident by now. The neighbor may have to elevate the house eventually.

Were it not for the physical distance I would certainly be in your sun on your beach. Enjoy

Good called Goatman! And yes altadenhiker, we used the Pillury cylinder dough but you don't have to whap it across the kitchen counter.

Sun, sun, beautiful sun and I'm stuck in the snow.

That flower is gorgeous. What is it's name?
