Well, praise be, I mailed off my income taxes today! I owe money so I figure they can just as well wait! I don't mind my taxes going to the running of this country but I do mind my tax dollars going to a war I don't agree with! But what can I do? Death & taxes indeed!

Way to go in getting that over and done with! We did ours this weekend too and it's a miracle, for the first time in 13 years we don't owe money. I just wish some money would be spent on health care. I'm on a minimum 2-year waiting list to see a specialist for my fibro! I'll probably be out of this province by then. Universal health care can sometimes really bite.
I agree with you SS, I wouldn't mind sending in my taxes if they went for education, health care and how about dental care! I had to pay $800.00 just to have my teeth clean!!!!! Talk about highway robbery! Health Care is far to expensive! And it's not always the best for the cost!
If the govt could figure out a way to tax the dead they would do it in an instant.
Government are a money drain down the pipes of society everywhere.
They wouldn't know how to spend it well if they tried.
And aren't they as slow as hell to return it to you when they owe you!
