Art of conversation
I often wonder how we got by without the cell phone but I often wonder if we are getting closer or more distant with the human race. Today while having lunch I sat across a mother and daughter and the mother (a woman in her late fifties) ignored her thirty something daughter for not once did she acknowledge her own flesh and blood because the BITCH WAS FAR TOO BUSY TALKING ON HER CELL PHONE! I felt like grabbing the cell phone from her hands and say "Pay attention to your luncheon companion!" I hate it when I see couples at a table talking to over people on their cell phones. If a date did that to me, the date would be OVER!

Grrr you ain't kidding. I'm tempted to buy one of those cell phone jammers to keep in my pocket.
ouch!! i'll remember that, and be careful when the date happens ;)
how have you been?
Same here ... they would be over and out, don't call me, I'll call you! Lol! How appallingly rude!
I don't even own one.
I totally agree. And what I hate even more is when it's the younger generation ignoring their parents. C'mon, folks. You're lucky to still have mom and dad. They won't be around forever.
It's one thing to take a call and say, "Sorry, I'm at lunch, can I call you back?" It's another to just have a full-on conversation while someone's just sitting there.
amen sista!
so rude!
I cannot believe how many people I see walking, driving, in stores, etc. with cell phones attached to ear. Yeesh! What can be so important?
That is so true! It's like we're so disconnected from each other because of technology. We are off on some communication that is distant and yet we are not here, right now, with the other people around us. How sad. This generation of cell phone junkies is going to be so unenlightened. They totally need to unplug for a while.
