California Dreaming
I what a cold winter they're having back East and it's hard to wrap my mind how cold it actually is. Read the writer, Mr. Neil Gaiman's blog this afternoon and he wrote it's so cold where he lives that it actually hurts to breath! DAMN; that's cold!
Still house sitting in Malibu. Went out to breakfast at Paradise Cove this morning and already it was a warm 70 degrees and in the 80's in the afternoon. Miss the winter through. This weekend the beaches were packed. I prefer the beach when it's cold and gray and all to myself.
Not that I'm longing for below zero weather, just would like to be able to wear my cute sweaters instead of my sundresses.
Okay, some people would bitch in heaven. Still, we need our winter rains.

May you long enjoy your house sitting. I'm a all year round summer girl. I like winter less and less as I get older.
I'm with Aggie. Was almost literally banging my head into my desk here wanting to be wherever that pic was taken!
The pic was taken at a cafe near me called Paradise Cove, a cool place made famous because they film a 1970 show called the Rockford Files there. It's a great place for after your meal you can take your drink and sit out on the beach. It isn't at all expensive and the food is great. I walked there for breakfast or lunch once in a while. They serve a parmesan crusted halibut fish that is to die for. This shot is a view over my pancakes. (The place however, is packed on the weekends.)
There's a poem called, "If All the Skies Were Sunshine" by Henry Van Dyke. You should look it up, I think you'd like it, since it applies to this post.
It was so nice being in Florida in 70 degree weather last week. I'm very jealous of where you are right now.
hehe @ ur idea of beach weather...i'd prefer a beach without sun but not cold...lovely picture...
I also prefer the weather to be cold and windy on the beaches. I love the solitary walks and the wind in my face. Still it seems to be really nice where you are.
Don't rub it in yogagirl.
Pretty soon we'll be dancing in sunlight and swimming in silky water.
Waiting builds character.
