Twist & shout

Yoga House in Pasadena was the first yoga studio I started studying yoga at. So this weekend when I attended a workshop there it was like old home week.

But a strange thing happen this week. The teacher has is do a lot twists and during the last half hour of the workshop I had to go to the bathroom to throw up and I couldn't stop vomiting! I was so dizzy friends of mine had to drive me and my car home.

Feeling better today. Been drinking tons of water and Gartor Aide, the dizziness is gone. Going to the doctor this Monday.

Is my butt as big as hers?

It finally cooled down; bliss!

There are still some yoga moves I can't do. Like chatarunga or upward facing dog but still doing yoga. Don't want to get a big butt!

Cool down...

At last the heat wave has broken off for a feel days, maybe I'll be able to sleep tonight without sweating my brains out! This weather has been a killer for my stomache as well, been throwing up plus major diarrhea, charming! But at least a cool Strawberry Maragrita hits the spot!

Due to not being able to sleep throughout the night I've been reading a lot! I just finish reading Rudolfo Anaya's great novel ,"Bless me Ultima". If you love mystic, magical, coming of age stories this is the book for you!

This photo was taken while at Big Sur. I would love to take a shower in that fountain!

Shake & Bake....

Damn, it's hot out here! I start sweating just walking from my car to the yoga studio! My right arm is still killing me, so after yoga class went to have some sushi and ice cold beer! Yummy. Didn't have the Ninja Roll though, thought it was a cute name for sushi though.

Lights, cameras, ACTION!

There are still talks about an actor's strike but not with the same sound and fury as the Writer's Strike.
Today while driving to the yoga studio, I saw film trucks and trailers parked along Larchmont. And throughout South Pasadena and Pasadena I've seen film trucks and trailers parked on many neighborhood streets. It's wonderful seeing that things are being back on production again. That people are back to work again!
I hope it keeps up and no one goes back on strike again and gum up the works!

Belated Father's Day Greetings!

Well, I hope all you big daddys out there had a great Father's Day.

Yesterday after shopping at the Larchmont Farmer's Market in West Hollywood, I stopped by one of my favorite Sport's Bar for a quick cool cocktail and while there I saw a fellow bar fly who I know is a family man.

"Hey Spin;" I asked "What are you doing here on Father's Day, isn't you family doing anything for you today?."

He told me he had to get away for some quiet and to watch the "American Open". He said this brothers and brother in laws were over his place and brought their children. The total number of children running around his home were eight and they were all using his wide screen TV to play video games! So much for happy father's day for him.

Then this other guy remarked ;"Father's Day isn't the same as Mother's Day!".
Then most guys said that Father's Day met dad cooking dinner for everyone on his barbecue.
Well, I hope you dads had a great day anyway.
