At last the heat wave has broken off for a feel days, maybe I'll be able to sleep tonight without sweating my brains out! This weather has been a killer for my stomache as well, been throwing up plus major diarrhea, charming! But at least a cool Strawberry Maragrita hits the spot!Due to not being able to sleep throughout the night I've been reading a lot! I just finish reading Rudolfo Anaya's great novel ,"Bless me Ultima". If you love mystic, magical, coming of age stories this is the book for you!

Sorry you haven't been well. I had a tummy bug too ... but mine was winter ills/chills stuff. We are freezing our butts off here and do envy you guys the warmth.
I'm sorry to hear how sick you are! Nobody should be sick in summertime, even if it is hot! Winter is the time to be sick, not now!
Have you gotten to visit the ocean lately? I know how much you love it!

It was HOT here today. I'm glad to hear it's cooled down a bit...makes all the difference for feeling a bit better and getting some sleep. Hoping you recover soon.

Yeah, I would say, contemplating that picture would go a long way towards beatin' the heat. In fact, here in north TX, it's just HOT, from the end of spring 'til winter - no letup - just HOT, so I may copy that pic and use it myself!;-) If that's OK.

Also, I'm really glad you did a quick exposure on this, as I really don't like the long exposure stuff a lot of people do, apparently to capture the path of the flow, or something. Those don't even look like water to me. This does. Coooooool, cleeeeeear water (water)...harking back to The Sons of the Pioneers, there.

Can I ever relate! We're not getting scorching heat but any heat at all puts me into turtle mode and all I want to do is read and hibernate.
