All in all, we're just another brick in the wall...
Of all the tales about the hauntings at the Holly Street Bar & Grill my favorite goes, when the second floor was being remodeled for office spaces an urn was found hidden in a wall. There was no name on the urn but after research it was believed to be the ashes of a past Mayor of Pasadena during the 1920's that was rumored to have been kidnapped and killed by the gangsters who ran the Speak Easy at the Holly Street Mortuary. It is told that he found out that the mortuary was a front for the Speak Easy and he wanted to muscle into the action with the gangsters. One evening he disappeared and was never seen again. Or at least until his ashes were found hidden in the wall. The room where the urn was found is reported as being icy cool. It's an area no one likes to be alone at after dark.

Honestly, how do you hang out at such a place. I would be terrified the whole time at every sound I heard.
It must be so full of atmosphere! Even if a little creepy!
I'm enjoying this series ;-)
i like the story with the Mayor. serves him right for dealing with gangsters...
=:-)
I'd go! I'd go in that room alone!
I love all these creepy stories you have for us...bring it on!!
You tell them so well.
Although lately, I am glad I visit your blog when the sun is up.
lol
Am liking the series too. Do you really think, tho, that those bad boys would have bothered with an urn?
Tag...you're it!
Come to my blog.
I love it! Oooh, I have to come back and read more! I found you through Boho, she knows all the cool chicks.

Sounds like an interesting possibility! :) Very entertaining as always! Thank you!
I don't think gansters would take the pain to cremate their victim AND put the ashes in a secreted urn. There is definitively a mystery there...
I like the bit where the room is cold.
I think that's cool and I love the photo :)
Creepy! I wouldnt wanna be there...no!
