D.O.A.

The tasks of cleaning up after the holidays makes me feel dead on arrival. Why is taking down a christmas tree more exhausting then putting up a Christmas tree? (Oh, this is not a photo of my Christmas tree but a photo of one of the grave sites in Rose Hills, I drive by it everyday.) Took down the outdoor lights, packed up the Christmas decorations and got a case of the common cold. Now, I'm sneezing my brains out and drinking hot honey ginger tea and trying to keep warm. What a way to start the New Year in intensive care!

Happy New Year to you all. This is the year of the Rat!

Taking down the tree sucks. It actually makes me sad that the holidays are over.

God, why does taking down the tree suck so bad? It's just like the most depressing event of the year! I hate it. I have to take all my stuff down tomorrow and am not looking forward to it.

I didn't put one up this year ... ran out of time. But it's a depressing feeling I know.
The year of the Rat? and a cold? I hope that doesn't mean plagues for 2008 ... lol!
Hope you get better soon.

Yup. There's something so anti-climatic about taking down the tree, I dread it every year and try to have it done by new years to ensure a clean slate. (and a clean house).
That pic is awesome.

cool pic! yeah, when you put the christmas decorations up, it's all excitement, and you're looking forward to the season. when you take it down, it's just depressing. lol.

i hope you have a FANTASTIC new year, sweetie!

Hi Yoga Gal! Happy New Year to you and I've enjoyed catching up on your blog!! I hope your cold doesn't get worse -- the honey ginger tea should help and it sounds really yummy. Taking the Christmas tree down is sad. Take care and stay warm!
