Green acres is the place for me...

One lovely thing about living in the L.A. area is the fact that you can attend a Farmer's Market almost every day of the week. Each town has their own Farmer's Market where you can buy fresh produce and other goodies. I learned this weekend, one of the best weekly Farmer's Market will be closing down because the property own is selling the land to developers. Great another strip mall or condos! The Farmer's Market in San Monica will be closing! It was one of the best in L.A.! I read in the Los Angeles Times that even the chefs in Las Vegas would fly down every week to buy the fresh produce for their restaurants in Vegas! Many of the top chefs of L.A. went there for the fresh veggies and fruits. And now they're closing it! Sigh!

Maybe they can just relocate to some other place? The vendors still will have their wares to sell.
Couldn't they ask permission from the city to hold the market on an empty parking lot, like they do it here one day a week?
Nice old barn.

Real estate is real expensive in this part of town and parking is rare and golden. So who knows where they can relocate. The barn photo was taken in the Edna Valley wine country.

We have great Farmers Markets here and they are close to me too. Sad when they close things down.
