Counting one's blessings....

Thanks for all the kinds words of support for my fellow Califorians. I agree with Goatman too, some areas we shouldn't build on. I have a friend who lives in the Whittier Hills and she's always bicthing that in the evenings the raccoons come down and swims and wash their paws in her hot tub (I personally think that would be so cute) ,also she complains that the coyotes come down and eat her cats. "Well; hello!" leave you cats indoors. We move into their environment and expect them to comply to our world! Still, what is so heartbreaking a lot of the people who are suffering most from these current wild fires are the retirement community who lost their trailer homes, everything really. It's so hard to start afresh when you are in your so called Golden Years.

Yes indeed, people need to harmonize with their environment instead of waging war on it.

Oh those poor folk ... but why live/build there when you know tat the risk is so high? It must be heartbreaking for those too old to start again.
