Bookends....

I know you can get books for less at those franchised, supermarket, mass marketed bookstore but I prefer to shop for books at a neighborhood bookstore with more charm and personal touch. Today I went to one of my favorite used booked stores in South Pasadena. Found some great art books and felt so relaxed just looking around. The building as you can see is lovely and full of old Pasadena charm!

I love bookstores that simply inspire you to pick up a book, take a deep, cleansing breath and just... read. This one looks ideal!

I wish my town had even this. Darn little place - no one reads here. Thanks for the comment, by the way! I hope I get through them, too!

wow, that's a pretty used bookstore. wish they had some like that around here. ours are always in old stripmalls that are falling apart.

Hi Yoga Gal! I'm with you -- the privately owned bookstores are awesome. And I adore used bookstores -- I can spend whole days in them. Lots of them are closing, due to the internet. But I treasure the ones still hanging in there.
