Heaven can wait....

Well I have some good news and bad news.

The good news is my doctor informed me that I don't have cancer! Whoppee! Pop open a bottle of champagne! Wait a minute; I can't have champagne, my doctor said I have a bleding ulcer the size of a Hummer! I did impress him with what a big pain threshold I have.

"We're you in great pain?" he asked me.

Well sure but being an ex-dancer I use to dealing with pain. Hey, you did dance you weren't paid, so I often danced with an injury.
Still, not out of the woods though. I have to say in this bed pan prison for a few more days! I want to go home with my books and pets and cable TV! Hanging in there though.

Thanks for the kind words and virtual hugs!

Hi Yoga Gal! I am so relieved! I know 2 other folks with a bleeding ulcer and they are doing great now. It's fantastic that you don't have cancer! And your pain threshold IS amazing. Your title of "Heaven can wait...." cracked me up. Can you eat regular food yet (besides no champagne!)? Here's a bunch more hugs for a speedy recovery!!!

Thanks Clare for the kind words, seeing the photo of that darling squirrel always makes me smile! Do you see that squirrel these days? As for the food issue I'm still on an IV diet, well I'm keeping my size zero figure but I'm dying for an In & Out Burger and a glass of fine wine! Hey, I'll settle for a cold beer! Thanks for the hugs!

, that is reassuuring new but entierly good it isn't. Ulcers are also fairly dangerous and - yes - painful.
You'll have to take GREAT care of yourself.
On the one hand I do believe that the yoga should be able to help a lot to reduce the causes, but no more alcohol for you (it's a definite no-no).
Hugs (they are good for recovery too).

Glad to hear the good news!

Good luck on the ulcer. Let me know if you would like me to look up some herbal supplements that might help in your recovery.

Get better soon!

I can't tell you how relieved and thankful I am to read your terrific news. Whoever thought an ulcer could be such a blessing?! Congratulations... and be sure to get lots of rest to recover quickly.

PS: Time to find a new doctor, no?

The good news is that I did manage to see Neil Gaiman and he wrote a sweet note on the get well card for you.
I am posting it first thing in the morning...
