Taking a bite out of crime...

I can't help but think what dentists charge should be a crime! Today I took my mother to the dentist for yet another tooth appointment! All around his office are photos he has taken from his world travels, this past Spring he went to the City of Lights, Paris. The office walls are full of photos of castles by a lake, ocean views, topical island flowers and beaches bathe in the light of sunset and sunrise.
By the time her work is done she will have landed up playing over $4,ooo for work on her teeth! Between her bills and mine I think we will be paying for yet another Euporean tour! Gee, I would love to see Paris. It nice to know that at least my money will.

It used to be that plumbers made a killing -- now it's the dentists. Everyone I know is spending big bucks at the dentist lately. It's insane!

Thanks for the words of support, I'm beginning to feel like cutting my losses and becoming a toothless old crone; do you realize how many books and art supplies I can buy with that much cash!?

Dentists in Australia are no different - mine has a screen on the ceiling right above the chair which displays a continual slideshow of photographs from his journeys around the globe!!!
Thanks for stopping by Wild Grace. I like your analogy of the Milky Way for a choice of favorite books :)

Judging from the responses to this entry dentists around the world are like vampires; sucking us dry from our life source! What I can't get is the fact that I floss, brush and rinse with Phlax and every year they say I need my teeth clean for a sum that is the proverbial King's ransom! It's a never ending cycle!
